Comics

As a kid, I was told that it was not good to read comics. All the same, I like to read, and I read whatever has text in it: books, magazines, newspapers, feeds, subtitles (when watching a movie in Russian of Japanese 🙂 ) as well as comics. Why not.

I’m not afraid for the good old treeware version of books, but I see no harm in reading digital version either. With comics I prefer reading it on the web: comics are relatively expensive and a too easy read to justify the purchase. So, what’s on my comics-blogroll?

Now I have the ComicRack eComic reader; “the ITunes for eComics”. Not that I ever use ITunes – I hate it, there are much better solutions for playing my media. Now I need more comics:

  • The Aesthetics and Beauty of Knowledge

Shih was the opposite of facts and raw information; shih was the elegance of knowledge, the insight and skill to organize knowledge into meaningful patterns. The attitude thing is about flexibility, portability, creativity, sociability and jamming (ran out of suitable “ity” words!). It’s about improvising – in the practical and musical senses of the word; not getting tangled in boundaries and the “right” way to do things.
Definitely the only way to travel.
